After we got Lillian off the bottle we quickly had to get her off the pacifier. Story: Lillian has been staying in the nursery at church while I(mom) go to a workout class. When I finished my class and picked up Lillian the nursery worker informed me Lillian had put her pacifier (the whole thing) in her mouth and gagged herself! The poor nursery worker said it scared her to death! Of course I was in shock and was like how in the world does a pacifier fit in my little girl’s mouth??? Later that day Lillian got hold of a pacifier again while in the car and put the whole thing in her mouth AGAIN! So the decision was made NO MORE PACI! This was not a fun decision to make because the paci has been what gets Lillian calmed down for nap time and bedtime and helps with her teething. After a few rough nap times and bedtimes we have successfully weened her off!! It took about 3-4 days to do. She did better than I thought she would having no pacifier to get herself to sleep. She just screamed for a lot longer. It was tough knowing if we just gave her a paci it would stop. But we could not because I was scared she would choke. I figure it is probably easier to ween her off of the paci now rather than later. Really she doesn’t need it. It is more of a convenient item to use. Needless to say we have to watch her like a hawk with items smaller than a bowling ball! I am looking forward to the everything going in the mouth stage to be over!! She is a nut but we love her anyway! Promise pictures are coming soon. I know its been awhile. We love you all!

Goodbye Dr. Brown’s!!
Lillian has FINALLY given up her bottle!!! Through overcoming frustrations, tears, and being persistant Lillian gave in and took the sippy cup. I knew she could do it I just needed to make her do it. Dave and I are excited to have more room in our pantry and dishwasher. No more drying rack to take up space and bottle dishwashing basket.
Lillian is still working like a champ on getting her teeth in. She has one molar on the left side of her mouth. She is working on another one on the other side. Lillian is still eating great despite her teething. Her appetite has not decreased one bit! Our daughter loves food=)

Springtime!
Hello family and friends! We have updated our website with a couple of new albums from Lillian’s many adventures during this spring season. Check them out! Gosh where to start with what we have been up to lately? Umm well as you will see in one of our albums we had a wonderful visit from Cousin Browning and Aunt Hannah. Lillian had SO much fun playing with both of them. I think her and little B are on their way to being good friends. We loved catching up with them and I had fun talking to Hannah about mom and baby stuff. We love them and Big Browning too even though he chose not to come visit us and play golf with his friends instead…..just saying! Haha! Just kidding Browning=)
We took Lillian to an Easter egg hunt last weekend at some friends of ours house (The Fords). I believe Lillian had more fun playing with her friends then hunting the eggs. She didn’t quite grasp the concept of picking up the eggs. She just stepped over them and ran around the front yard. Maybe next year she can actually collect some eggs. It was still fun to visit with friends and watch our little ones play together. Lillian’s favorite thing to play with at the Ford’s house was the inflatable ball pit. She LOVED it so much I went out and bought her one at Toys R us. She loves taking the balls out and putting them back in and stepping in and out of the pit. Thanks Allison for the awesome toy!!
Let’s see what else?? I have started taking Lillian to story time at the Hoover Public Library on Tuesday mornings. It has been a big hit so far. I forgot my camera last time we went….I know! I will remember next time. Lillian loves all the books and being able to walk around the big room and get into everything. Hopefully as she gets older she will actually sit and listen to the story being read. Maybe she is at least hearing some of the words and remembering them. Lillian’s friend Brooklyn and her mom Lauren go with us to story time at the library too. Lillian has a buddy and so does mama. Oh don’t want to forget my friend Jen and her little girl Tabitha will be joining us too=)
As far as development goes for Lillian she is babbling a whole lot more now and making all kinds of noises. She has started waving to people recently. She is particular about when she does it though. She has also figured out how to turn the light switch on and off. She can unsnap our snapware containers and take or pour the food out of them. The food is no longer safe! She is eating like a PIG! OMG! An example: for breakfast this morning she had 6 mini size pancakes, a bottle of milk, (still working on the sippy cup), a can of fruit and 6 saltine crackers. WOW! She is on a kick of eating a lot for breakfast and lunch and then having a small dinner.
Alright I think I have written enough. Hope everyone is doing great. Come visit us anytime just call before you ring the doorbell!
