I took Lillian to her 18 month checkup this morning. She weighs 26lbs 9 oz and is 33 inches long. She is in the 75% for both her height and weight. She did great at the doctor’s office. This time she did not scream at the doctor while he examined her. It was so nice to be able to talk to the doctor without screaming. However, when the nurse came in Lillian let loose. She knew what was coming. Can’t really blame her. Shots hurt! The doctor said Lillian’s development is great. She is doing what she should be doing and more. We are so grateful to have a healthy and sweet little girl. Her next visit will be after she turns 2. Wow that is weird to say. My little girl soon to be 2??? Seriously the time is going way to fast. Well I hear Lillian getting up from her nap and she sounds hungry better go!

Dave’s Cousin Knows Horses
Dave’s cousin Camille recently won the Three-Gaited Park Junior Exhibitor Championship at the World’s Championship Horse Show (it’s a big deal). Here’s her interview after winning:
18 months today!!
Lillian is 18 months old today! As always we can’t believe it. Our little girl is growing up so fast and doing all kinds of new things each and everyday. She is saying all kinds of words now. The girl is going to be a talker! We need to prepare ourselves. Her new words are shoe, toe, eye, duck, doggie, cow (pronounced “owww”), six, nine (“niii”), goat (“oat”), choo choo, donkey, doll, ball and some others I can’t remember. As you can see there is a wide variety of words. The majority of words she has learned have come from her 15 or so books we read each and everyday!! My child is obsessed with books! Whew! I think I read her books in my sleep. Lillian also has learned how to put her puzzles together. She has a number puzzle with the numbers 0-9 and a hospital puzzle (nurses, doctors, ambulance, etc.). She is such a smarty. She has figured out where each puzzle piece goes and puts it in the right spot. Harvard here she comes!! Haha just kidding!
Some of you may or may not know but Lillian has started a mother’s day out program this fall. She only goes one day a week for a few hours. Mommy loves this time cause errands can get done, house semi cleaned, or doctor appts can be done in peace. It’s amazing. Lillian has two wonderful teachers who just love on her all day. I was a bit nervous on how she would do with it being a new place and people. She had a great first day. Second day not so much. Cried all day! Come to find out she was teething pretty bad. She has two new fang teeth on top! The third day she went she was much better. She and the teacher both came out smiling. I was so relieved. Hopefully she will keep up the good attitude and really enjoy mother’s day out.
Lillian goes for her 18 month checkup next week so i’ll have her stats posted after her visit. I weighed her myself on our scale and she was 29lbs!! We will see how accurate that is after she weighs in at the doctor’s office.
Be sure to check out the video of Lillian showing off her puzzle skills and chatting away to herself.
